Land Based Training is accredited to provide training in the Sub-Fields of Agriculture (level 5), Civil Works and Services (level 3), Civil Plant Operation and Maintenance (level 3), Highway Construction and Maintenance (Level 3) and Occupational Health and Safety (level 4) on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework. This means we can can develop specific courses using the unit standards within these Sub Fields or follow the existing National Certificates that are contained within these Sub Fields. LBT is Accredited to provide the following Qualifications:
Land Based Training will provide specific training programmes on covering any number of unit standards on a "on demand" basis. All our tutors / assessors are mobile and we can develop courses for you or your company and will incorporate your documentation, processes and equipment so that the students will be as familiar with the workplace as possible. We also provide specific units standard related courses e.g. 6454 - Demonstrate knowledge of safety principles and maintain safety on civil construction worksites. This unit is ensures a thorough understanding of legal requirements of safety programmes and the methods of instigating, achieving and maintaining health and safety requirements on site. We also provide cross qualifications where possible by matching Unit Standards with other industry requirements. A prime example is the Transit "Working on the Roads Course" which our training/assessment team have aligned to the compulsory unit standard 5627. SUBSIDISED TRAININGYour company may qualify for a course subsidy if you are registered with InfraTrain and are hooked into NZQA.
