Health and Safety Management in the Workplace
A comprehensive two day course designed for people in the workplace who have been selected as Health & safety Representatives under the Health & safety in Employment Act, or who are training to prepare for such a management role.
We have designed a Health & safety representative course that has been approved by the Ministry of Labour under Section 19G of the Health & Safety Act 1992.

- Planning for emergencies
- Hazard Management
- Health & safety Management systems
- Employee participation systems
- The function and roles of a Health & Safety representative
By attending the course, completing the off-job exercises throughout the course and demonstrating competency through the open book assessment exercises your staff becomes an Approved Health & Safety Representative for your organisation.
Course delivery:
The course is delivered over 2 days, in a classroom type venue.
Qualifications:
This health and safety management course can be upgraded to the registered unit standards with 20-25 hours of further training in the workplace. Under the health and safety in Employment Act it can then lead to a National Certificate in Occupational Health & safety.
