Land Based Training is an Accredited Private Training Enterprise that specialises in providing training to those involved on the Land - whether is within the Agriculture/Horticulture/Rural sector or those Industries that derive their income from working safely and by modifying the land such as - Forestry, Construction and Civil Engineering.

Agricultural Qualifications		GrowSafe Certificate
	Starting at the Level 2 National Certificates in Agriculture with strands in Sheep/Beef or Dairy through to our Level 5 Diploma in Agri - Business Management		Our GROWSAFE course is available throughout New Zealand for those people who use agrichemicals and need to comply with the NZS 8409:1995 Agrichemical Users' Code of Practice.
Construction Qualifications		Temporary Traffic Management
	We provide industry related training covering several National Certificates from L1 Introductory Skills to up-skilling Plant Operators and those that maintain our Tracks, Roads and Highways		There are risks and responsibilities for TC's and STMS's that work on LV and Level 1 roads, over 3000 students have trained in their role throughout New Zealand since 2000.
Health and Safety Qualifications		Health and Safety Representatives
	We can can assist you by providing training and assessment for National Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety, Building and Construction Health & Safety & Injury Prevention and Contracting Health, Safety and the Environment		Our comprehensive Introductory H&S Rep course has approval and allows the trainee to have the option to gain a Health and Safety Representatives Certificate linked to NZQA Unit Standards
Other Qualifications		Licence Endorsements & Assessment
	We provide an opportunity for trainees to learn job search skills and gain credits towards the National Certificate in Employment Skills while completing practical training in the workplace.		Our Tutors can provide training on safe operation and correct maintenance on your equipment, on site, and assesses your team and endorse their licences for Class 2 - 5, Passengers, Dangerous Goods, Wheels, Tracks, Rollers and Forklifts

STAR / Gateway Farming Courses		Award in Road Opening
	Starting at the Level 2 National Certificates in Agriculture with strands in Sheep/Beef or Dairy through to our Level 5 Diploma in Agri - Business Management		Practical 3 day course designed for  those people who work in the roads, covering unit standards in health and safety, quality assurance, operating plant and reading and understanding plans.
STAR / Gateway Contracting Courses		Safe Operation of a Chainsaw
	Practical hands on training related to care, maintenance and safe operation of equipment used in the construction sector including compactors, compressors and surveying.		Our Forestry Tutor can train you on the safe use and operation of a chainsaw. Learn how to deal with basic chainsaw maintenance, compression cuts and kickbacks  - Practical and theory course
