LBT KEY Course:

This course is designed to help you get the skills to get ahead in life. It will show you how you can get better at reading, writing and numbers. Your success well be measured using a special programme during the course and you will be able to see how much you have improved.

You will be helped to improve your:

• Literacy (reading and writing)
• Numeracy (numbers)
• Communication (speaking and listening)

You will learn life skills that are part of gaining employment and a better future which include:

• Time keeping
• Respect
• Positive attitude
• Confidence

• How to make your CV
• What to do at a job interview
• The correct way to dress at work
• Helping customers face to face or on the telephone
• How to stay safe at work

NZQA unit standards may form part of the employment skills modules of learning.

Eligibility: Those 16 years and over are eligible to enrol, both unemployed and those employed in small business.

Currently KEY courses are being held in:

Ruapehu(Ohakune)
South Taranaki(Patea)
Rangitikei(Marton)
Manawatu(Feilding)

Enrolments(subject to courses numbers) are throughout the year.
