Land Based Training offers a variety of courses including National Certificates, First Aid and Industry related Unit Standards.

Although several Industries Training Organisations (ITO'S) have introduce their own specific Unit Standards to ensure that Health and Safety issues are complied with in their own environment e.g. BCITO, GPITO, AgITO and InfraTrain (NZCITO). Land Based Training offers these as specific one day courses in your workplace in an "on demand basis", we can also provide a half day course using Unit Standard 497 as an initial introduction to Health and Safety in the workplace.

There are other comprehensive Unit Standards that enable a greater depth of knowledge while allowing the student / employee to gain a broader understanding of Health and Safety issues. Land Based Training has developed training packages around these Unit Standards so that, in the construction industry (for example) employees can, by attending and being formally assessed, satisfy Employers and Principles in the duties required to be Safety on Civil Construction Sites.

In other industries such as the Agri/Rural industry there are specific Units about hazards and injury prevention.

The BCITO (Building and Construction ITO) offer the National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, where as the NZITO offer extensive Unit Standards in Occupational Health and Safety that can be grouped together to form either the Level 3 National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Workplace Safety) or the Level 4 National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
